Victoria Principal’s anti-aging skin care product is known as “Principal Secret Reclaim”, presented by Guthy-Renker. A clever marketing technique in that it’s “Victoria Principle’s Secret”. Victoria Principal is a cosmetics Entrepreneur who believes her skin care products are the best available and she presents those opinions in the infomercial called “Reverse the Signs of Aging”. The recent advertisement claims people use the product in lieu of expensive cosmetic surgery to give a more youthful appearance to their skin. One woman who is age 42, looks to be in her mid to late 20’s in the infomercial after using this skin cream product. Apparently over 2 million customers (ranging in age) currently use the Reclaim product and have had drastically successful skin care results. How Does Principal Secret Reclaim Work?
According to the infomercial, Principal Secret Reclaim helps give smoother skin texture and reduces wrinkle lines. It basically accelerate the skin’s natural exfoliation process and gives a more youthful facial appearance. Reclaim uses a patent-pending combination of Argireline and APT-GC. One of these is the snythetic ingredient known as Argireline, a trade name for Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, which has anti-aging properties. It’s main purpose is to give people’s skin a younger look by reducing deep wrinkles and lines around the eyes and forehead regions of the face. It is important to note that some people have reported instances of sagging and other side effects occurring when using products containing Argireline. Many, but not all, suppliers of Argireline products advise that people should only use the product only on the specific areas with lines/wrinkles but not all over the face. It is similar to the way Botox treatments are given specifically by injecting one affected area. Argireline isn’t injected, but applied to certain areas of the face as well.
Victoria Principal’s Secret anti-aging skin-care products operate on the “3 Steps, 3 Minutes” concept. Step 1 is Cleansing the skin, while Step 2 is Repairing the skin and Step 3 is Moisturizing the skin. With her Principal Secret Reclaim skin care cream, she guarantees customers will see and feel visible results in 30 days. Clinical trails have found the Reclaim product gives an increase in moisture level, restoration of skin elasticity and a visible reduction of wrinkles. In the infomercial there are two new products included “Age Braker” cream and the “Radiance” illuminating youth wand which is used for touch up areas to help get better looking skin in 30 seconds. There’s also an Age Braker Enzyme Mask and Peel featured in the television ad.
